In 2020, as outdoor walkthrough shows surged in popularity, the New York Botanical Garden commissioned a holiday program with a unique objective: to showcase their own product — nature. I designed, project-managed, and installed an expansive walkthrough experience that transformed the gardens into a vibrant, immersive holiday environment.

Pathways and trees were colorfully illuminated to provide both atmosphere and natural wayfinding. Signature displays included illuminated mushroom clusters, a greenhouse-inspired gazebo, colorful hedge lighting, a glowing ‘tree root’ installation, and a radiant fountain display.

The result was a branded experience that set NYBG apart from traditional holiday shows, celebrating the garden’s identity while delivering an engaging, family-friendly attraction.
